Fighter Brat is a 270-page graphic novel work-in-progress, drawn in pencil, ink wash and coloured pencil.
It’s the female-unfriendly 1950s. Dory, the daughter of a Canadian fighter pilot, dreams of flying jets with her adored father and saving the Free World from Soviet nuclear missiles. While her father trains on Sabre jets in Canada, Dory does her damndest to realize her dream and join him - but only creates chaos. When they are transferred to post-war Germany, Dory is confronted by raw history - her loyalty is profoundly tested and her dream changes radically. Her story is somewhat autobiographical - but she is far braver than the author! Synopsis available on request.
